Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. The father of her Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the time. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks after her very first tryout. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set a new junior world record. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. In 2007, she was able to defend the title against her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes at her particular events.
