Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, located in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley while their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent in sports as she was taking classes at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that moment. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished with a second-place finish in the 200 meters during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to take classes in elementary school. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was named the world's youngest champion for the 200 meter race. She defended the title once again in 2007, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in every event.
